New desalination plant in Cebu to benefit 20,000 households

CEBU CITY — A new desalination plant in Barangay Mambaling here opened on Wednesday and now provides more reliable water supply to over 20,000 households and commercial establishments in the central and southern part of the city.

The plant, integrated into the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) system, practically addresses the persistent water shortage in the area.
