It's not their blasphemy; it's the homophobia

IT is a vexing question that I constantly confront. It is indeed troubling that religion, which is actually, and should be, a celebration of love and community, has become the driver for so much hatred, discord and conflict.

The reason behind this is as direct as it is damning. Religion becomes the linchpin for disunity and misunderstanding when its believers behave as if they have a monopoly of virtue, and that only they would be saved.
