THE Philippine Red Cross (PRC) said it has received a donation of P2.9 million from the Singapore Red Cross, noting the funds would boost its relief operations for the victims of floods triggered by a typhoon-enhanced southwest monsoon last week.

"This will surely boost the efforts of our volunteers and staff as they assist families and communities on the ground. Whenever disasters hit the Philippines, we know we can always rely on the Singapore Red Cross to come to our aid," PRC Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon said on Friday.
