Aira Villegas of the Philippines advanced to the quarterfinal round after scoring a 5-0 victory over Roumaysa Buoalam of Algeria in women's flyweight boxing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris early Friday morning (Manila time).

Villegas, who turned 29 on August 1, got the nod of the judges in the first round but Buoalam turned on the heat in the second round.
