MANILA, Philippines — As the southwest monsoon or "habagat" weakens temporarily, a high pressure area (HPA) has emerged, bringing hot weather, especially over Northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Thursday.
Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said most parts of the country would likely experience generally fair weather all throughout the day.
