NOT so long ago, we read, heard or discussed a few interesting buzzwords in business and human resources (HR). There was the "Great Resignation" or the "Big Quit," the "Great Reshuffle," the "Great Regret," and then "Quiet Quitting," "Social Loafing" and "Quiet Hiring." As the "Rolling Recession" continues, "Career Cushioning" will soon become a familiar buzzword.

As technology and demographic shifts continue to change the workplace, one should prepare to be amazed by emerging labor market dynamics, made more interesting by the buzzwords.
