President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday said the government would continue to advance the country's maritime education "to make it more responsive to the evolving needs of the nation and the global maritime industry."
The President, who was represented by Presidential Assistant on Maritime Concerns Secretary during the graduation rites of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy's (PMMA) "Mandagayan" Class of 2024, expressed hope that the initiatives of the government would usher in a new breed of Filipino sailors.
