To stamp out 'Philippinization' disease, PH should build from the ground up its party and electoral system

CHARGING the Philippines with causing a disease called "Philippinization" is dangerous business. It could lead to bizarre complications and plenty of anguish. Start with the fact that there are no handy synonyms for rooting out or stamping out a disease; the synonyms that come to mind are exterminate, eradicate, annihilate and extirpate, all of which are uniformly heavy-handed, like using too much firepower to kill a pest.
