Our online world is a bush of ghosts

First of two parts

ABOUT two years ago, I did something I had been thinking about for a long time and removed myself from social media, or at least as much as I could. As the big social media companies never really delete anything, I assume there are still remnants of that aspect of my online presence out there, but they are inaccessible to me. Out of sight, out of mind. I do maintain a LinkedIn profile, but only as an extra communication channel for work purposes; I find the environment otherwise pretentious and annoying, and spend as little time and effort on it as possible.
