CEBU CITY — The Commission on Audit (CoA) has flagged over P83 million worth of medical equipment lying unused at the government-run Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

The city government purchased the equipment in 2020 and 2021 and are now out of warranty and have yet to be tested for operational capability due to prolonged storage and exposure to the elements, according to CoA's 2023 audit report.
