A REPORT by the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) cited the Philippines' "clear and profound difference" in combating the illegal activities of Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs).
An assessment on illegal gambling operations in the Southeast Asian region was carried out by an international group of experts assembled by USIP before President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced the ban on POGOs.
