BuCor eyes setting up corrections academy

THE Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has created a technical working group to study the possibility of establishing the Philippines Corrections Academy to better equip officers with knowledge in dealing with persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).

BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. also announced the plan to activate the Directorate for Personnel Education and Training Service (Dpets) and the creation of a Master's Education and Training Program for Junior and Senior Custodial Supervisory Course, and program officer basic and advanced courses.
