THE high cost of living and interest rates have led to a less optimistic financial outlook among Filipinos, a study showed, with most considering themselves to be at best lower middle class or below.
A TransUnion study revealed that 27 percent of the population in the Philippines viewed themselves as low-income, and 38 percent said that their wealth was below P250,000.
