Lapu-Lapu to reassess protocols of resorts

CEBU CITY — The local government of Lapu-Lapu City is reassessing its safety protocols for water sports activities following a tragic accident that led to the death of a tourist at a jumping balloon attraction on Olango Island.

Mayor Junard Chan confirmed on Monday that Pinky's Floating Cottage has been issued a cease-and-desist order while the police conduct a thorough investigation and the safety measures at the resort at Sitio Basdako, Barangay San Vicente are reviewed.
