5 Bataan towns suffer massive flooding

BALANGA CITY — Bataan suffered flooding as the southwest monsoon and Typhoon 'Carina' triggered intermittent heavy rains on Tuesday night and almost the whole day Wednesday, affecting five municipalities here.

Rick Quiambao of the Philippine Information Agency, citing data from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, said that five out of 11 towns and a city have reported flooding due to the rainfall brought by Typhoon 'Carina' enhanced by the southwest monsoon and the high tide.
