Aboitiz Equity nets P11.5B in first half

ABOITIZ Equity Ventures Inc. (AEV) on Thursday reported a first half consolidated net income of P11.5 billion, almost 10 percent higher than the year-earlier P10.5 billion, due mainly to contributions from its power and food and beverage businesses.

Excluding a nonrecurring net gain of P83 million, core net income was P11.4 billion, nearly three percent up from P11.1 billion a year ago.
