MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is asking Congress for a P200 billion additional budget for next year.

DICT spokesman Renato Paraiso said the funds would be used to sustain the implementation of the National Broadband Program (NBP), which was tasked to develop and build a resilient, fast and reliable internet for the government and public places.
