MANILA, Philippines — Several SM malls in Metro Manila announced on Wednesday that they were open to people seeking shelter from the heavy rains and flooding brought in by the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon "Carina."

"Our mall will accommodate those who wish to seek temporary shelter from rainfall and flooding," according to a uniform public advisory.
