Marcos orders 'swift assistance' to flood victims after govt work, class suspension

MANILA, Philippines(UPDATE) President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday instructed all frontline government agencies to ensure timely assistance to those affected by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon 'Carina.'

'Today, we have P2.88B worth of prepositioned aid and close to 4,500 personnel on standby for search, rescue, and retrieval operations,' Marcos said in a post of his official account on X, formerly Twitter.
