(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines — Congress and the Sandiganbayan suspended work on Wednesday due to typhoon-enhanced heavy rains.

Senate President Francis Chiz Escudero said, "The severe weather conditions, including the deep flooding at the Senate entrance and the forecast for medium to heavy rains over Metro Manila and nearby areas, have necessitated the suspension of work at the Upper Chamber."
