TAPPING unused and idle government funds could help boost economic growth and make it easier to achieve this year's target, Finance Secretary Ralph Recto said on Tuesday.

"Based on our study at the Department of Finance (DoF), we found that this will help our economy grow by more or less 0.8 percentage points," he told reporters at the sidelines of a post-State of the Nation Address briefing.
