Cebu has AI-aided traffic light system

CEBU CITY — Motorists here can expect smoother travel to and from the South Road Properties (SRP) thanks to newly added roads and an advanced traffic light system.

Kent Francisco Jongoy, assistant head of the Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO), announced that the P12-million traffic light system aided by artificial intelligence (AI) is now operational at the T-junction between IL Corso and El Pardo Road. The system, donated by Filinvest Land Inc., began operations last July 15.
