MANILA, Philippines — Malacanang on Tuesday suspended work in government offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region (NCR) for the rest of the day due to bad weather.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin issued Memorandum Circular 57 ordering the suspension to ensure the public's safety amid the continuous rainfall brought about by the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon "Carina".
