ASTON Martin's latest Vantage GT3 has clinched its second consecutive victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, North America's premier endurance racing series. This triumph was secured by The Heart of Racing (THoR) team in the GTD class at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, commonly known as Mosport.
Roman De Angelis, the 2022 IMSA GTD champion and a former Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy graduate, along with his teammate Spencer Pumpelly, delivered an exceptional performance in the No. 27 THoR Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The pair led most of the race, maintaining a healthy lead even through a late-race Full Course Yellow, to bring home the GTD class victory. This win was especially sweet for De Angelis, marking his second victory at his home event in three years.
