The balance of power of the NBA has been tilted. We were in awe of the spectacular Western playoff battles, and I was bold enough to predict that whoever wins the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Dallas Mavericks duel would be crowned champions. The Boston Celtics crushed the Mavs, to our collective dismay.

Is the Eastern Conference now more powerful than the West? They have the defending champions, and at least two teams have enhanced their roster significantly to try and keep up.
