(UPDATES) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday said the country "cannot yield nor waver" in defending its maritime claims in the West Philippine Sea, insisting that those waters clearly belong to the Philippines.

During his third State of the Nation Address (SONA), Marcos declared that the West Philippine Sea would continue to belong to Filipinos "as long as the spirit of the nation continues to burn."
