THE University of Southern Mindanao (USM) in Kabacan, Cotabato won the Best Scientific Product award at the joint Commission on Higher Education and State Universities and Colleges (CHEd-SUC) Fair held at KCC Mall de Zamboanga in Zamboanga City on July 11, 2024, According to USM Vice President for Research, Development and Extension Debbie Marie Verzosa, PhD, the winning product was the StatSelect App.

The recognition was part of the Mi Casita: Innovation Exhibit and Demonstration that featured the Best Agri-Food Product and Best Educational Product awards.
