SGA survives Taiwan-A in OT thriller to win Jones Cup crown

MANILA, Philippines — Strong Group needed a major scoring surge in regulation play, before outscoring Taiwan-A in extension period to score a nail biting 83-79 win en route to ruling the 43rd William Jones Cup with an eight-game sweep on Sunday at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

The Philippine-based squad scored nine straight points inside the last two minutes of regulation period, capped by Kiefer Ravena's three-point shot from the corner to grab a 73-71 lead.
