MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday that it was closely monitoring two low pressure areas (LPAs) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the first LPA was 135 kilometers west-southwest of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro while the newly-spotted weather disturbance was 880kms off Eastern Visayas.
