Tornadoes for entertainment

In the first part of the movie "Twisters," you see a bunch of students chase a tornado in order to carry out an experiment. Clearly, this is something that would never happen in the Philippines for so many reasons.

For one, the parents would be in their business, be on a Viber group chat and tell them to just stay home, clean their room, help around the house or even just play video games instead of quite possibly wrecking the family truck.
