CEBU CITY — Inflation in Central Visayas surged to 4.8 percent in June this year, slightly higher than the 4.0 percent registered in May, the Philippine Statistics Authority Central Visayas (PSA-7) reported.

This 0.8 percentage point rise reflects a faster uptick in average price levels of goods and services across the region within a specified period.
