P1-M smuggled cigarettes intercepted in Tawi-Tawi

TAWI-TAWI — Authorities from various law enforcement agencies here intercepted over P1 million worth of smuggled cigarettes in Barangay Lamion, Bongao in this province on Saturday.

Acting on a tip from concerned citizens, police personnel on board Philippine National Police's SOU Watercraft swooped down to a coastal area in Barangay Lamion where cases of cigarettes were being unloaded from a motorized boat, known locally as 'jungkong.'
