PLDT shocks Creamline in five-set thriller

MANILA, Philippines — PLDT's Russian import Lena Samoilenko fired 34 markers to lift the High Speed Hitters past the formidable Creamline Cool Smashers in a five-set thriller, 16-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 15-12, in the opening day of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday.

Samoilenko's 34-point outing was built on 32 attacks and two aces, along with 13 excellent digs, and 14 excellent receptions.
