THE cold chain industry in the Philippines has grown by 10 percent in 2022, driven by the launch of the Philippine Cold Chain Industry road map in 2020 as reported by the Cold Chain Association of the Philippines (CCAP). In February 2023, the Board of Investments has initiated a cold chain database project, aimed at creating an integrated supply chain solution. This project also assists farmers in identifying nearby cold storage facilities for storing their produce efficiently.

In order to tap into the Philippines' growing market, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra) will organize a Trade Mission for the Cold Chain Industry to promote Taiwan's innovative cold chain technology and services. This initiative aims to assist Philippine officials, distributors and agencies on expanding the cold chain industry and fostering partnerships between Taiwan and the Philippines.
