CEBU CITY — AJ Basalo, a grade 11 student from Talisay City, Cebu, was moved to tears after receiving the gold medal during the finals of the Palarong Pambansa boxing event on Monday at the Cebu Coliseum.
Basalo emerged victorious in the Junior Boys Light Bantam category He defeated Davao Region's Miguelito Bantilan Jr. in the 50-52 kilograms division.
