CEBU CITY — The ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2024 in Cebu City has sparked controversy over the precise measurements of the newly refurbished oval track at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC), raising concerns about the validity of athletic records set during the event.

During a press conference on Saturday, assistant secretary Francis Cesar Bringas of the Department of Education (DepEd) announced that the national technical committee had found discrepancies in the oval track's length.
