NAIROBI — When Kevin Kimani visited the East Africa (Kenya) Fashion Life Show in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, on July 12, the 24-year-old youth fell for elegant Chinese fabric and designer wear on display in many exhibition stands.
His excitement palpable, Kimani, a communications major, said that part of the reason he was drawn to the Chinese-made garment was their exotic appearance and friendly pricing.
