Converge makes Justine Baltazar top draft pick

MANILA, Philippines — As expected, former La Salle big man Justine Baltazar emerged as the top overall pick after being selected by Converge during Sunday's PBA Rookie Draft at the Ayala Malls Glorietta Activity Center.

The 6-foot-7 Baltazar's selection boosts the front court of the FiberXers, who are in rebuilding mode since coming off a woeful Season 48 that saw the franchise post an abysmal 3-19 record.
