Central Visayas tourism to remain strong – official

CEBU CITY — The establishment of the Negros Island Region (NIR) will not hinder ongoing efforts to enhance tourism in Central Visayas, according to Judy Gabato, chief tourism operations officer of the Department of Tourism Central Visayas (DoT 7).

During the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas press conference on Thursday, Gabato emphasized that Cebu and Bohol, which house key international gateways, remain central to their plans.
