Strong Group off to hot start, routs UAE in Jones Cup

MANILA, Philippines — Strong Group Athletics started like a house on fire as it pulverized United Arab Emirates, 104-79 to get its title campaign on a rousing start in the 43rd William Jones Cup on Saturday in Taiwan.

Chris McCullough registered a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with five assists and four steals to lead SGA, which led by 14 in the opening frame, and took a 50-32 lead at the half.
