IT is a curious feature of Filipino politics since 1986, that after the so-called EDSA revolution and the downfall of the 20-year regime of President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., no president left behind a political party of consequence and clout that could regularly contest periodic elections for the mandate to govern and lead the Filipino nation.
