Arca aims for IM title in Penang chess tournament

Coming off a successful campaign in the Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championships 2024 last week in Indonesia, FIDE Master (FM) Christian Gian Karlo Arca will continue his quest for the International Master (IM) title when he competes in the 8th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championships in Penang, Malaysia from July 13 to 21, 2024.

Arca left the country on Thursday together with FM Ivan Travis Cu and National Masters Oscar Joseph Cantela and Franklin Loyd Andes for the tournament.
