Magnitude 7.1 quake hits Sultan Kudarat

(UPDATE) A MAGNITUDE 7.1 earthquake jolted Sultan Kudarat on Thursday, with Intensity 4 felt by residents of a Davao Occidental town, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Tectonic in origin, the tremor happened around 10:13 a.m. some 133 kilometers south-west of the municipality of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat, the agency said.
