MANILA, Philippines — The National Museum of the Philippines announced on its Facebook page on Friday that it received a painting that was stolen from a museum in Negros Occidental earlier this month.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) handed over the "Mango Harvesters" 1936 painting of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo to the museum's Director General Jeremy Barns who inspected the painting and assured the NBI that it was, indeed, the one that was stolen from its original location. He issued a certification at the NBI's request.
