First gold medal of 2024 Palaro claimed by Central Visayas runner

CEBU CITY, Philippines: Asia Paraase claimed this year's first Palarong Pambansa gold medal as she ruled the secondary girls 3000m event at the Cebu City Sports Center Track Oval on Thursday morning, July 11.

Representing Central Visayas (Region 7), the 17-year-old Paraase submitted a time of 10:27.36 for the championship.
