CEBU CITY, Philippines — Jyane Kurt Cantor posted a new Palarong Pambansa record in long jump for elementary boys as he leaped a distance of 6.14 meters to also seize the gold medal for Central Luzon (Region 3) at the Cebu City Sports Center on Thursday, July 11, 2024.A crossover athlete from triple jump, Canton toppled the previous long jump mark of 6.04 meters established by Jeremie Tamles of Davao Region during the 2002 Palarong Pambansa in Naga.Khrispher Kyle Ngirngir of Western Visayas (Region 6) finished second to Canton and claimed the silver medal with a 5.63m performance.Ace Francis Bacongallo of Central Visayas (Region 7) covered a distance of 5.59m for the bronze medal.
