ILOILO CITY — Western Visayas (Region 6) tourism industry in 2023 generated an estimated P70 billion in revenue, the Department of Tourism (DoT) reported on Tuesday.

DoT-6 Assistant Regional Director Phoebe Zelie Areño announced that the region saw around 5.4 million tourist arrivals last year, marking a 22.88-percent increase from the 4.2 million arrivals in 2022.
