SIX higher education institutions (HEIs) and teacher education institutions (TEIs) from various regions in the Philippines have been designated as Global Citizenship Education (GCED) Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regional hubs.

The GCED Cooperation Center-Philippines said these hubs were Mabalacat City College in Region 3 (Central Luzon), Palawan State University in Region 4B (Mimaropa), Aklan State University in Region 6 (Western Visayas), Cebu Normal University in Region 7 (Central Visayas), Western Mindanao State University in Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), and University of Southeastern Philippines in Region 11 (Davao).
