THE Energy Department is looking to stage two green energy (RE) auctions "around the fourth quarter" of this year and another by the middle of 2025 as part of an ongoing push to increase the country's renewable power capacity.
The Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP), launched in 2021, aims to entice investments in renewable energy (RE) in support of a government plan to achieve a 35-percent RE capacity mix by 2035 and 50 percent by 2040.
