MANILA, Philippines — The inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring rains and thunderstorms over large parts of the country, including Southern Luzon and Metro Manila, the state-run weather agency said on Wednesday.
Weather specialist Robert Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the weather system – an imaginary line where the air from the southern and northern hemispheres meet – is particularly affecting Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Bicol Region and Western Visayas.
